Stories
I’m going to post my published stories, some stories I think are near finished (they’ll be marked as such), and a few things I’m toying around with. All stories copyright me.
Chucko the Clown
A fable of unlikely salvation told using an adaption of oral storytelling. Appeared in Rosebud 35 as a runner-up for the 2005 Mary Shelley Award.
The Good Provider
A tale of economic and existential crises and strange faith in random failures. Appeared in the 2005 issue of Sojourn, winner of Sojourn’s 2005 fiction award.
Simple Things
A piece of flash fiction, the result of an exercise. Appeared in the first issue of The Raveler, an online journal I helped launch. Not considered a publishing credit, with a narrator who is probably sexist, and kinda rough, but for all its flaws, I like the technical qualities (shape, transition, unity) of this story.
